My feeling towards Finland:
naturalistic, adventurous and simple
I’m on the airplane from Rovaniemi to Helsinki and I already started to miss Finland.
There are plenty of things I might feel dislike and be shocked about, but the vibe and atmosphere can outweigh those and be the reason I want to come again. However, I will never forget the environment and atmosphere here. The simplest lifestyle, the purity and simplicity of the people. I would say I have a feeling of crying when I get off here.
Like:
- Lifestyle
simple is the best. Even the flight attendants here are usually less make-up or make-up free
2. Snow
The simplest fun I have here. I can just go in the snow and enjoy my day for a day.
3. People
I would say people are quite disciplined here. Rules here are not strict and people believe their government. They need not have very strict rules to tell people to follow. For example, places need to buy entrance tickets but you do not need to provide your ticket to the staff.
The people are very nice. They’re willing to help.
At the same time, the people I met are direct but polite too. There is one time we were inside the store but it was approaching closing time. The staff just directly said they want to close the door and go home haaa.
Dislike
- Too cold
I personally do not like winter much. And the coldness here makes you only want to eat, sleep and stay at home. Especially in Rovaniemi, it’s always a negative degree which makes people get sick and tired easily. You will eventually become a potato couch.
Besides, the coldness actually leads to lots of other disadvantages like dry skin, and extra preparation time for going out. I still remembered everything when we prepared to go out, we need to spend almost 1 hour just to get well-dressed and prepared for the cold.
Because of the coldness :(
